New River Gorge, West Virginia
(June 26-29, 2025)
We have a unique partnership with the Alpine Adventure Center (Beckley, West Virginia - see video). It is an amazing Christian environment where we will challenge these young men with high adventure activities. We will be able to participate in white water rafting the New River, options like rappelling and caving, and access to a gym (dodgeball, basketball) outdoor pool, fishing pond, and lots more. Our group will have exclusive use of the Alpine Lodge - a private mountain lodge with hotel-style rooming (2-4 to a room with your own private bathroom/shower). We will have powerful sessions challenging you wrestle with issues of being a man in this culture. High adventure that will be used to convey deeper truths about life. Truth that will be spoken around a campfire. Memories that will last a lifetime.
Sample Schedule:
7:30 Breakfast (all you can eat!)
9:00 High adventure activities (lunch included) - White water rafting/caving/rappelling/etc.)
5:30 - going OUT to dinner (cost not included) = (Friday/Sat)

7:30 session
8:30 fireside chats with your tribe
10:00 - late night options (gym, movie, etc.)

Every evening a facilitator will lead group discussions around a campfire with your ‘tribe’. For thousands of years elders and fathers have told stories and bestowed wisdom around this glowing conversation piece. We will follow in their stead. Hearts will be shared. Physical sons and spiritual sons will be blessed. Young men will be challenged.
We encourage you to register and come on the retreat with another person you are already in relationship with (small group, etc.). We all grow best in community and experiencing these events with others that will continue to sharpen us when we are home is so valuable!

Cost: $365 (*325 early bird per person if you register by June 1) Covers all adventure activities, 5 meals, 3 nights hotel-style lodging, and all supplies/materials. (2 dinners at local restaurants not included) ** Scholarships ARE available based on need - please pre-register and a scholarship application will be sent to you! We don’t want anyone to be left out of this amazing opportunity - we will help you get there!
**Transportation will be arranged based on carpooling together from the Raleigh area.
